Sponsorships

Become a Sponsor

We’re pleased to present these stellar opportunities to sponsor StokerCon 2019 in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We expect StokerCon2019 (which will incorporate the presentation of HWA’s iconic Bram Stoker Awards in addition to Horror University, the Final Frame Film Competition, the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference, and Librarians’ Day) to be the premiere horror event of the year, and your sponsorship will both serve a growing, vital community, and put your brand before hundreds of hungry fans. Our first three StokerCons (2016 was held in Las Vegas, 2017 took place on board the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, and 2018 was held at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island) garnered national coverage from such mainstream news sources as Huffington Post and important genre publications as Locus Magazine.

The Convention will be held at the beautiful Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, May 9th through 12th, with our Bram Stoker Awards Banquet taking place on the evening of Saturday, May 11th. The awards presentation will also be live-streamed on the Internet and recorded for later sharing on HWA’s dedicated YouTube channel. Guests of Honor are the writer and director of The New Mutants and (forthcoming) The Stand, Josh Boone; Bram Stoker and Locus Award-winning author of The Cipher, Bad Brains, Skin, Strange Angels, and The Blue Mirror, Kathe Koja; the genre’s newest superstar, Bram Stoker Award-nominated author of Unbury Carol, Goblin, Black Mad Wheel, and (forthcoming as a feature film) Bird Box, Josh Malerman; HWA co-founder and legendary author of Swan Song, Boy’s Life, They Thirst, Wolf’s Hour, and He’ll Come Knocking at Your Door, Robert R. McCammon; Australian Shadows, Ditmar, and Aurealis Award-winning author of Slights, Walking the Tree, and The Gate Theory, Kaaron Warren; and Bram Stoker Award-winning poet and author of The Eighth and Brothel, Poetry Editor for Raw Dog Screaming Press, Stephanie M. Wytovich. In addition, Jonathan Maberry – author of the Joe Ledger series and editor of Scary Out There – will be joining us as the Bram Stoker Awards emcee.

So, HERE is the chance for your organization to become a sponsor of HWA and the next StokerCon. You will gain exposure over a lengthy period to our over 1600 members worldwide, and to the thousands of writers, readers and horror fans who visit our websites every month. You’ll also be seen by the hundreds who will view the Bram Stoker Awards Banquet live on webcast (if you choose that form of sponsorship). This is a very targeted audience – horror writers, publishers, editors, illustrators, screenwriters, poets, readers and fans.

We thank you in advance for your kind consideration. If you have any questions regarding Sponsorship Packages, please contact the President, Lisa Morton, via [email protected]
